We have totally reached our parent goals👌🏾, to be drinking cold brews 🍻 while watching all of our kids run thru the dark around a bonfire! Anthony surprised me with a weekend camping trip for my birthday today🙌🏽 and it was so much fun!
AFFORDABLE 🇯🇲 FAMILY VACAY! . We’ve been to RIU Montego Bay and it was amazing BUT we had to pay for EACH child(and I damn sure ain’t doin that again 🤷🏽‍♀️🙄) it was EX-PAIN-SIVE 🥴 . This time we stayed at @jamaica_riu_negril for 5 days, and they allow kids under 14 (up to 3 kids per room) to stay for FREE when there are two paying adults in a room. . The resort was super kid friendly, and the people who worked there remembered all of our kids names by the 2nd day & they included the kids in almost every event, and activity at the resort! . Downfalls is that this resort is about an hour away from the closes airport, and the beach isn’t as clear as Montego Bay, but that didn’t stop this from being a “no brainer” when it comes to affordability. . Which is more important to you affordability or convenience?
Cheers to melted ice cream🍦 , little dirty feet🦶🏽and sun bleached hair☀️! . The fact that my kids wont be this small forever, and melted ice cream, sun bleached hair, and dirty feet will be a thing of the past one day is a breathtaking thought😩. . The fact that my biggest tiny has three missing teeth, my middle tiny’s stubby legs are long & skinny, & my tiny tiny just turned one is the scariest BUT awesome experience my life could offer! . Do you ever have moments like this, when you want them to stay small forever? Drop a 😩😭

Talk about the best nap ever 😴. We bought a $5 blow up pool from @walmart before our flight to Jamaica 🇯🇲 to fill with water so that Azari could play in the water without the aggravation of the sand getting everywhere. . BUT turns out this pool is a bomb ass flotation device. We ended up laying her down in this pool and letting it float around in the ocean, and she fell asleep, no lie 30 seconds after being in it every time we used it! . This could be the perfect thing to pack if you have multiple small kids. It allows you to enjoy the ocean handsfree, as an entire family. Just make sure you keep an eye on your kid, and never let it float away! . IMPROVEMENT: One mistake that we did make was not packing an umbrella for shade that we could sit inside the pool to keep her cool the entire time. WHATS YOUR CREATIVE BEACH HACK?
So our oldest missed the first, and second day of 1st grade because of travel🥴. A lot of parents say ABSOLUTELY NO to their kids missing school, but a lot of parents are like me....we inform the school, get the lessons, and school work and run off on vacation throughout the year✌🏽✈️ (flying weekdays are WAY cheaper than weekends and I’m in love with saving money🤷🏽‍♀️). . You can take the lesson/school work and incorporate it with your trip, and you can get super creative with on hands on activities. Learning outside of the classroom is a plus for me, so we always go roll✌🏽👌🏾. . Which parent are you? 🤔 . . . #wanderwomeninc
Our youngest, Azari Nicole turned ONE today! She is living out her Hot Baby Summer in Jamaica, and it’s lit 🔥 🇯🇲. . All of our kids have experienced celebrating their birthday out of the country. I dress my kids alike on vacation so that I can easily spot them in a crowd. I try to have them all wear the same colors when we go thru the airport because they most times like to walk ahead of me, and it’s easy to keep my 👀 on the same color than multiple ones. I know that in case of an emergency I can remember EXACTLY what they had on or at least what color they were wearing. . My favorite pop up tourist spot in Raleigh NC is the sunflower🌻 fields at Dorothea Dix Park. It’s 5 acres of beautiful sunflowers that bloom at this park early to mid July every year for the last 10 years. They planted the flowers to become a hot spot for pollination, and habitat for bees 🐝 And they also harvest the plants to create biodiesel for their trains, tractors, and other farm equipment. The best times to go are between July 13- July 27, after that the plants are not in the most prestige viewable condition. It’s a lot of fun, it’s FREE, and it’s beautiful.
