I can’t believe the news! Frontier has announced that kids fly free! They are not just talking about the little ones who can still fit in your lap free either. If you have a child 14 years or younger they will be able to take advantage of this amazing promotion! Frontier is an airline that truly understands the frustration of parents who can’t seem to afford to take their families on trips, and they have just made it that much easier for families across the country to say YES to travel. Say what you want about Frontier Airlines but they have always been family friendly, offering priority boarding for families with small children, free stroller, and car seat check at the gate, and they just keep proving why they should be the airport of choice for all families.
IS THERE A CATCH?
Of course, a deal is not a deal without a catch right? At this point you are probably questiong, where’s the scam. Well first off, one of the adults must be a Discount Den member. This membership only cost you $59.99 a year, for hundreds of dollars in savings. If you fly frequently like my family, then this membership is a must have.
Secondly, for every paying adult, one child is free. If two parents are traveling, two kids would be flying for free. If you are familiar with Frontier Airlines, then you know that you have to pay for seating unless you opt for it to be selected for you at check-in. However; most families traveling with small children prefer their family to sit together, therefore; you are still responsible to pay for their ($12-$14) seat. There are also specific dates on which your kids can travel for free:
- February – 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27
- March – 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27
- April – 2, 3, 9, 10, 16, 17, 23, 24, 30
- May – 1, 4, 7, 8, 11, 14, 15, 18, 21, 22, 29
- June – 1, 4, 5, 8, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26
- July – 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30
- August – 5, 6
HOW TO BOOK THE FLIGHT
Choose your destination, and input the dates in which kids qualify for free travel. You will see an icon at the top of the flight information signifying that the trip qualifies for the promotion. You will not see the discount applied until check out.
With any promotion, it comes with its certain catches. However; overall this promotion is one and a million, you really can’t beat this deal. The dates cause families to be a little more flexible in their weekly schedules, and can be hard for families to choose but, if you book it far enough in advance it should make it much easier. Travel $mart, save money, strengthen your marriage, grow closer as a family, refocus on values, dismantle stereotypes, and create a happier home life.
